Position Title (Global):Oracle Technical Specialist



Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required

Job Specific Knowledge:

         Strong understanding of Oracle technology and data warehousing

         Strong understanding of EBS and SaaS products like HCM and iExpenses

         Good Understanding of Informetica and Informatica Cloud.

         7+ years Information Technology experience

         7+ years of overall Technical experience with EBS

         Broad knowledge / understanding of IT resources and methodologies

         Strong leadership, operational and change/project management skills

         Experience working in hosted services environments

         Experience working with external vendor for service management

Industry Specific Experience:

         Broad understanding of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) industry, related Information Management requirements and the finance and HR processes

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

         Post-secondary qualification in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related fields

         Oracle Certification is preferred.

         Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Microsoft Operating Framework (MOF) qualifications and experience highly regarded


IT Skills:

         Experience with relational (Oracle and SQL) database as well as infrastructure management and system monitoring

         Linux/Unix skills

         Experience with data warehousing and data modelling

         Experience with internet/intranet networking technologies

         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

         MS Office suite of applications, MSAD and Citrix

         Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technology and computing trends

People Skills:

         Excellent written, oral and communications skills

         Ability to work in globally dispersed, virtual teams across a number of Information Technology and finance disciplines

         Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities

         Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritise own workload and that of others in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines

         Team player able to work collaboratively with other at all levels of the organization

         High level of trust and integrity





Position Significance Relative to Total Organisation:

         Responsible for applications availability and stability across the organization

         Act as the liaison between finance teams and  IT groups

         Handle escalations raised by finance/IT communities

This role is a global assignment and requires flexibility of working outside of business hours (including week ends) to collaborate with other team members and clients in different time zones
